OK, take two. This is what I wrote last night - or as much as I can remember anyway. I had an e mail from friend
Pimp Daddy Rothschild telling me not to neglect my blog which I have done shamefully. Work went into overdrive at the beginning of the month and I just didn't have time to make my postings into cyberspace. So from the beginning, or 29th March at least...
The last weekend in March was very quiet. My sister came to visit (for the first time this year) as it was her first weekend without her boyfriend who is currently somewhere in the Pacific. My Mum and Grandad returned from their holiday at the end of March - amazingly they were still on speaking terms. My Dad returned from South Africa a couple of days later. My parents were away for a total of 4 weeks between them and what do I get in the way of presents? Well, I think the technical term is bugger all. I obviously don't have them very well trained. When I tell them I don't want them to bring me anything back, I don't necessarily mean it....
Work was a nightmare for the first week of the month, so much so that it gave me a migraine and I was off wok for a day and a half at the end of the week which made everything 10 time worse. Unfortunately I had recovered enough to go to college for my last weekend course (9 weeks finally over) and I must have looked dreadful as my tutor collared me on the way out to see if I was OK. Actually I looked rough as I had done my usual post-lunch trick of falling asleep, but evidently he'd never noticed that before. In the evening I went to see friend
Kinky Malibu before she jetted off to Paris with friend
Mary Ellen Thong. At the same time friend
Bonnie Sin was in Italy. I had been invited on both of these trips and so I wasn't at all bitter and twisted that I had to stay behind because I had to go to college.
Work ramped up another level in my last week before study leave, I wasn't leaving until after 7 each evening. Although I didn't realise it at the time I was getting off lightly as colleague
Hard Bends didn't get home till after midnight most days. However, I finally got everything done so I could go on study leave with a clear-ish conscience (although this has not stopped my manger from calling me every day)
Now for the bad news. My Nan was hospitalised on Thursday morning after a suspected heart attack. She keeps being sent to hospital with problems so this time I decided not to worry as she always gets better. This had to be the time that I got it wrong, and she died on Sunday afternoon. If you know the history, I was much more upset than I expected. In fact, I sill don't think it's sunk in. My tutor at college said I was in denial as I was laughing and joking, but he may have had a point. If I don't laugh I might cry though. I went to college as I have to keep busy and I can't afford to miss any of the revision courses - as I may have mentioned before these are my finals. Anyway, there is no reason for me to be at home, especially as things are starting to get ugly as everyone is fighting about the will. I think I am going to have a dilemma as the funeral looks as if it will be when I am on revision, but I'll worry about that once everything has been finalised.
To finish on a happier note, on Saturday I was at the wedding of friend
Stephanie Sparks to
Craig Cock. I had a lovely time and it was a real English country wedding. The church was in a quaint little village in Northamptonshire where Stephanie Sparks grew up and the reception as at a nearby stately home. The weather was beautiful and it was fantastic to see my friends from University again. I hadn't seen friends
Angel Venus and
Linda Lay for about 4 years and friend
Busty Blue since graduation. We have promised to meet up again sometime soon, but I can't see it happening again before
Angel Venus's wedding next year. I am really glad that I reorganised college to go as it was well worth it.
This has been a long post, but you will be pleased to know I am now bang up to date. After all of that typing I'm off for a well deserved lie-down!
